A workshop for teens, ages 13-17 years old, who have chronic pain
Sleep plays an important role in managing pain.
The experience of chronic pain often causes difficulties with sleep.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is an evidence-based, medication-free approach used to improve sleep.
This 2 part course targets common sleep problems experienced by teens who have chronic pain, including:
- Difficulty falling asleep
- Remaining asleep
- Getting enough sleep
Teens attend this workshop and parents join in for the last 30mins. We will discuss effective strategies to help improve sleep and quiet the noisy mind at night. Better sleep has been shown to improve mood, physical health, and the ability to cope with pain.
Space is limited to 8 families.
